NCPS National Patient Safety Symposium
The VHA NCPS 2025 National Patient Safety Symposium is scheduled in May 2025
The purpose of the VHA National Center for Patient Safety 2025 Patient Safety Symposium is to provide a forum for Patient Safety Professionals in the federal health sector to share best practices, emerging research, available resources, opportunities for collaboration, leader perspectives, and professional opportunities to drive patient safety improvement for all populations supported by the federal health system. The theme for the 2025 Symposium is 'Patient Safety in the Technology Era.' Key topics will include Safety Science and Engineering for Safety, Treating the Patient Safety Professionals as a Person (Whole Health), Patient Safety Reporting and Data Analytics, Medication Safety, Patient Safety Culture and the High Reliability Organization, Evidenced-based Practice for Patient Safety Improvement, Education and Simulation for Patient Safety Professionals, and Futuristic Technology Applications in Patient Safety.
Poster and presentation proposals submitted by the November 22, 2024 deadline are currently under review. A travel packet will be provided in the future containing detailed hotel and travel information. Please see detailed information below.

Travel & Hotel Information:
The conference hotel is providing fantastic accommodations at the government per diem rates. Once travel documents are finalized, a travel packet will be disseminated to all attendees including a link for hotel reservations.
Poster and Presentation Proposals:
Proposal reviews are currently underway. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance via email no later than January 17, 2025. Final presentations or posters are due by March 28, 2025.
